Although each of us face unique challenges in life, I believe that everyone has the potential to live a meaningful, satisfying, and rewarding life. Counseling may help you to gain a better understanding of yourself and the world around you. My philosophy of care is to provide a collaborative and trusting relationship combined with empirically based/clinically sound skills and strategies. It is an honor and a privilege to assist my clients with empowering themselves to achieve their goals and maximum potential in life.  As a native of Huntsville, I have had the opportunity to work with many well-respected organizations in the area, including the Madison County District Attorney’s Office and the National Children’s Advocacy Center.  I am a graduate of the International OCD Foundation’s Behavioral Therapy Training Institute for the treatment of Obsessive Compulsive Disorder. Currently, I am pursuing a Doctorate in Behavioral Health. I am also involved with charitable and community organizations such as Hospice Family Care and the American Cancer Society, challenged to do so by words spoken by the philosopher Kahlil Gibran: “You give but little when you give of your possessions. It is when you give of yourself that you truly give.” My interests and hobbies include cycling, shooting, studying neuroscience, positive psychology, and professional development, working on my truck, and studying martial arts, training first with Master Jung Ju Lee, now studying under Grand Master S.C. "Tiger" Kim. I am also a volunteer firefighter with my local volunteer fire department as an Emergency Medical Responder.
